Pinetree Rock Blackbelt Academy teaches traditional taekwondo with over 30 years of experience on the mat — conditioning the mind, body and spirit to move as one and make you the best you can be.
About the academy
I have been in the martial arts for over 30 years. At Pinetree Rock Blackbelt Academy we focus on teaching traditional taekwondo — the forms, the discipline and the etiquette that give the art its depth.
We emphasise building and conditioning the mind, body and soul so they are aligned with each other and function as one entity — to make you the best you can be.

Our philosophy
Like a pine rooted in rock — bend with the wind, break for nothing, and grow where others would not.
Strength is built slowly and honestly. Every belt earned here reflects patience, discipline and respect, not shortcuts.
What we teach
Traditional taekwondo, physical fitness, self defence, respect, humility and mental improvement — trained together, class after class.
Authentic, traditional taekwondo taught the way it was handed down — forms, stances, kicks and etiquette practised with patience and precision.
Practical, realistic self defence skills that build the awareness and calm needed to protect yourself and the people around you.
Strength, flexibility, balance and endurance built through disciplined conditioning — a body that can do what the mind asks of it.
Focus, patience and perseverance trained alongside technique, so what you learn on the mat carries into school, work and life.
The heart of traditional martial arts. Students learn to bow before they kick, and to carry themselves with humility as they grow stronger.
Children, teens and adults train side by side in a welcoming dojang — beginners are met exactly where they are.
